The Legend of Bagger Vance

A disillusioned war veteran and old golf pro, Captain Rannulph Junah (Matt Dammon), reluctantly agrees to play a game of golf during the depression after a decade of not swinging a club. He finds the game futile until his caddy, Bagger Vance (Will Smith), teaches him the secret of the authentic golf stroke which turns out also to be the secret to mastering any challenge and finding meaning in life. Adapted by the novel written by M. Fowler.

Totally surprised at how much I loved this movie. Robert Redford really hasn't made a movie I haven't liked yet. The man is a genius at drama! Beautiful camera work followed by a monumental score. But the cast was dynamite! Amazing character development and chemistry. One of Will Smith's greatest performances. It made the game of golf so majestic that it's even got me thinking of picking up a club and heading out to the green.
5 Stars!
